Delancey British Alpine Children’s Championships 2015 ends on a high in Tignes

After battling with tricky weather conditions for much of the week, the Delancey British National Alpine Children’s Championships ended on a high with a bluebird day, concluding a challenging but rewarding week which gave the rising stars of British skiing a chance showcase their talents.

Moynihan and Brown take the titles at the Delancey British National Junior Championships Giant Slalom

The Delancey British National Alpine Championships saw clear blue skies and great race-piste conditions for the Giant Slalom National Junior race today.

The men kicked off the GS in the first run, and there was a tough battle for the top spot on the British podium. Nick Moynihan pipped Max Baggio to the post beating Baggio’s overall time by one hundredths of a second finishing in 1:52.83 minutes.

Two - time Olympian Dave Ryding lit up the Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships on a day that saw Great Britain’s best battle a cocktail of tricky conditions.

British Champs Super G

Mead takes double Super G titles with Baggio and Moynihan taking the Men’s Super G honours at Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships

Darcie Mead admits she had to pull out all the stops before topping the Super-G podium twice at the Delancey British National Alpine Ski Championships.

More than 100 skiers took to the sun-kissed slopes of Tignes for the Super-G event, which had been postponed on Sunday due to poor weather conditions.

Welsh and British Champs at Pontypool

At the weekend a few racers from the ERSA region made the journey to Pontypool for the Welsh Champs on the Saturday and British on the Sunday.   Pontypool is a challenging long slope,  set in beautiful surroundings and enclosed by trees.   There were a number of crashes but our skiers held their nerve and skied their best. 

British Champs and Combi Results

Thank you to all those who took part today at Norfolk for a great days racing. Congratulations to Michael Molloy who it not only the British Champion but also the All England Champion at the same time, not many people have managed that.

The Combi event was also a great success and thank you for those taking part.

Thank you to all parents and officials for their help over the day and before the event and finally thanks to the sponsors Team Evolution, Ski Bartletts and Racer Ready.
