Earlier this year we were all asked to fill in the Sport England Survey. If you had a bash well done as it was a bit of a lengthy survey but also because it was a Sport England survey it was very generic and some of the questions were a bit useless really but it had to be done and unfortunately SnowSport England (and any other sport for that matter) were not able to have much influence on the content of the survey.
So the headline results have just been published here.
SSE are currently looking for three new board members to join the existing team. It's a good opportunity to get involved in SnowSports are the centre. They are looking for a variety of skills and anyone can apply even from outside the sport.
The saga of SnOasis continues, is it on or is it off? When I took over as chair of ERSA last year one of the first things I was aiming to do was start improving the communications to members. So whilst over the past few months you will have seen various emails about different things I thought I would summarise things here as a quick progress update. As always I welcome the emails, calls or just general chat about your comments and feedback.
Ed Drake is organising a dual slalom run race at the Hemel ski centre on Saturday 24th July in the evening from 4pm through to 10pm. This is taking place the day before the Hemel Grand Prix. As you will have seen by now we have published an updated website for ERSA. A different layout and hopefully more information regarding other Snowsports. If you see anything that you think needs updating, changing or adding drop an email to website@ersa.co.uk. The site will continue to evolve over the coming months but the more information you can provide the better the information on here.
