What a great day and the weather held out for us!
Thank you to all those racers whole took part in the first ERSA Schools Ski Championships today a Welwyn, we hope you enjoyed it, we certainly did. Also a huge thanks to all the parents and teachers for providing transport for the racers and everybody who was able to help run the race today. Without the helpers the race would not be able to happen especially with the large amount of work taking place in the background. Finally thank you to the support from both the Welwyn race club and Gosling ski centre.
Guess what, despite what some people think we are human. The results published contain two corrections to prize giving. Woodbridge 1 U16 Male did come ahead of St Albans 1. Woodbridge U19 Female actually won the age group with Bishop Stortford 3 coming second, unfortuantely Cliff Park had a racer DSQ. Sorry about the mistake but we will be in contact with the schools to correct the medals.
Many of you already know about the ERSA Summer League races and these start next weekend with the first one being hosted by the Welwyn race team at the Gosling centre. To take part in the races all you need to do is become a member of one of the clubs in the regions, they are listed on the side of this email. This will also be good practice for the the English Schools Association, ESSKIA, races in September. If you would like more information send an email to schools@ersa.co.uk.
