Tri Regions 2011

the annual Tri Region race took part last Saturday at Welwyn Garden City. the race is between regions from ERSA, SRSA and LSERSA with each region putting up eight teams of five members in each. In the morning we run through the league stages which leads to the knockout stages in the afternoon. The weather was perfect, a crisp sunshine morning. Lots of parents watching from the bottom and all the racers seem to have an excellent day with plenty of racing and lots of rivalry between the regions.

All the ERSA teams performed very well and at the end of the ERSA G came 3rd and ERSA F came 2nd in the Shield competition , which SRSA G took the overall trophy.

In the Plate competition LSERSA B came out on top closely followed by LSERSA C and then SRSA E.

In the Main Competition a strong performance from LSERSA A saw them take 1st place closely followed by SRSA C and SRSA A.

Overall it was an excellent days racing from everyone. We even had Paul Telling and Jimmy Greenwood from Team Evolution forerunning, although Paul didn’t quite get to pip Jimmy to the finish line.
