Eastern Region Schools Artificial Ski Race

This is advanced notice that the schools race will be taking place in 2014. Entries will be available soon and we will notify all those on the email list or just check this page. Email email@example.com for more information and to register for future emails.
All based on the School year
Years 3, 4 (U10)
Years 5, 6 (U12)
Years 7, 8 (U14)
Years 9, 10 (U16)
Year 11+ (U19)
Years 3,4,5,6 will ski through stubbie pole and all older racers will ski through full poles.
Years 3,4,5,6 will ski in the morning with prize giving held at the end of the morning's racing
followed by the older racers in the afternoon.
No racer from years 3-6 can ski up into the Secondary teams
If schools in the U10/U12 category cannot make up a team (min of 3 racers)
then they can still enter as individuals so no one is exlcuded from racing.
Teams can be of mixed ages but the oldest racer determines the age category for the team.
There will be teams for male, females and mixed teams.
Open Training sessions at Ipswich Ski Slope
Wednesday 26th March and Wednesday 9th April 6.30pm - 8.00pm
For anyone wishing to enter the ERSA Schools' race being hosted in Ipswich on the 27th April, two open training sessions have been organised at the Iswpich Dry Slope. These sessions are open to all, but are especially suitable for those that may have skied before but wish to try skiing through poles and to get some dry slope experience. Poles will be set out on the slope and coaches will be on hand to provide informal help and advice. Bring your own equipment or borrow from the slope.
Normal minimum requirements apply. Must be able to ski linked turns, please wear long sleeves, trousers, gloves and a helmet. Cost is £12.50 per skier which includes £10.50 for slope use and £2.00 for coaching and equipment. Please bring cash for the £2.00 the £10.50 slope fee can be paid by cash or card.
