Deightons @ Bormio

Toby and Harry Deighton just returned from the Energiapura 16th English Alpine Championships 2012 and gained 2^nd and 3^rd overall in Children 1 Slalom. In the second run Toby was 1^st followed by younger brother Harry in 2^nd and Scott Buchan in 3^rd, they were also 11^th and 12^th overall out of the 79 racers that finished which bodes well for the future. Unfortunately Toby was injured in GS training and unable to compete along with older brother Oliver earlier in the week, but Harry managed to achieve 6^th in the GS and SG in his first time competing in this event on the longer skis.

As Toby was the fastest English racer he became in the English Champion and is now looking forward to racing in the Inter-schools in March in Les Houches and the British Championships in Meribel in April. The boys would like to thank their coaches, John Reidy at Hemel, the BSA and all the organisers & volunteers of the races.

Another entrant into the races this year was their mother Avelline who took part in her first FIS races, well done and photo at the bottom on the podium.
