The next ERSA committee meeting is being held on Monday 6th September 7.30pm at Hardwick Arms, Arrington. Minutes of the last meeting can be viewed here. If you have any comments please send an email to chair@ersa.co.uk.

Earlier this year we were all asked to fill in the Sport England Survey. If you had a bash well done as it was a bit of a lengthy survey but also because it was a Sport England survey it was very generic and some of the questions were a bit useless really but it had to be done and unfortunately SnowSport England (and any other sport for that matter) were not able to have much influence on the content of the survey.

So the headline results have just been published here.

Well Done to all 35 ERSA ski racers that recently took part in the 2010 British Indoor Ski Race Championships at Castleford Xscape. The British Championship event rounded off the thoroughly enjoyable 2010 British Indoor Grand Prix Series.

A message from Vickie Pullin at SSE

SSE are promoting a SSE Air Bag tour in the south.

It has been arranged with each centre how we can make it suitable and there will be systems in place for this such as loyalty cards and promotion on free sessions after attending 5 or so at that slope.

SnowSport England are running a variety courses over the weekend of the 13th and 14th November over at Hemel Hempstead. One which is definitely worth looking into is the Level 2 officials course. This is a two day course which covers everything associated with running the races.

Attached is a form which anyone can complete to nominate someone for a variety of categories in Snowsports.

As there have been several questions relating to the All England Champs recently I have created the following page, http://www.ersa.co.uk/2010_all_england_champs_faq.

The All England Champs take place this year at the Norfolk Snowsports Club in Norwich. They are taking place over the weekend of the 4th and 5th September. The closing date for entries is Friday the 20th August so not long before you have to get the entries in.

SSE are currently looking for three new board members to join the existing team. It's a good opportunity to get involved in SnowSports are the centre. They are looking for a variety of skills and anyone can apply even from outside the sport.

The saga of SnOasis continues, is it on or is it off? It would appear that it is more likely to be on and in recent days there has been an announcement from the Government about some additional funding for housing in the area where they plan to build the centre.
